“Art can permeate the very deepest part of us where no words exist.”
Inside every single person is the heart of a creative being.
It’s this ability to create – to make art – that allows us to explore who we are and what we want out of life.
We’ve been doing this since the beginning of time. You could say we’re programmed for it.
But somewhere along the line, many of us have come to believe (or were told) that creativity is a pathway only for a special few.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
In fact, it’s more necessary now than ever to uncover our creative souls.
The world needs us to show up, delve deep and express who we are.
About your tutor
B.Soc.Sci (Psych), PG Dip Arts Therapy, Cert. Counselling, Dip Art & Creativity (Adv)
Susan Knaap is an established artist who has exhibited internationally and whose paintings have sold around the world. She is also a highly respected tutor who has taught many workshops and coached beginning and emerging artists.
Alongside her passion for art and creativity, Susan has become deeply interested in what inspires personal meaning and promotes well-being. Not surprisingly, she has found herself drawn in recent years to intuitive painting, where the creative impulse comes from within rather than via an external stimulus.
“When you tune into your own inner source of creativity, it’s amazing how much you discover about yourself. The painting process can show you where you lack trust, hold on and judge yourself. As you gently explore and acknowledge this inner landscape, you have a genuine chance to foster new strengths – to learn to trust, take risks, let go and celebrate who you are as a person and as an artist. It’s then that your art really comes to life!”
With her background and training in psychology, arts therapy and art-making, Susan is uniquely qualified to guide those who wish to become fulfilled creatively and personally.

An online course, focused on intuitive painting for personal well-being
and insight, will be developed in due course.
